This Saturday, we woke up around 10:30, we had a breakfast with typical things in Germany, like pretzel, some typical types of bread and bagel.

Two hours later we have made some Christmas cookies to eat has a snack.

Around 17:15 we went to Strasbourg to see the Christmas market, and I must say, it was BEAUTIFUL! The lights, the decoration, the people…

Something I will never forget.

I spent this weekend with my colleague Artur and our host family. On Saturday we went to the Black Forest where we have seen amazing landscapes. It was cold. We had the opportunity of eating like a German, which means that our lunch was a hot dog with a special sausage.

On Saturday we went to France near Strasbourg where we have eaten a “Flammekueche au feue de bois”, which is a typical plate from that region of

France. It was really good, the default one has creme, bacon and onion, but we tried one with Champignons, another with cheese. It was awesome, and the restaurant was very beautiful. This weekend was amazing, probably one of the bests in our lives. We Will remember it for the rest of our lives.

On Saturday, we have made cookies because it was a tradition in my host family. In the afternoon we went to the Black Forest (Schwarzwald). There was a lot of snow on the ground and on the trees. We climbed the whole mountain to see the view, which was extraordinary, especially when we were above the clouds.

On Sunday we went ice skating and have been in a park, where we walked a little bit. Later we went to a Christmas Market in Karlsruhe, and we also walked a little around the city. We have eaten very traditional foods in the breakfast and dinner, and everything was very good. We liked everything that we have seen this weekend.

On Saturday I we went to a Christmas Market in Rastatt which is the biggest city near Gaggenau. It was truly beautiful and magic. Christmas had consumed all the place. On that day we also decided to go for a walk in the park while we get knowing each other.

Sunday’s afternoon, me, Erik and his mom baked some cookies for Tuesday’s dinner at

school, while listening to amazing Christmas music. After that we played some games and relaxed.
